Celebrity most missed by you during 2009, THE YEAR OF DEATH. |
|
For me, it's a toss up between Michael Jackson and Walter Cronkite. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deaths_in_2009

2. Not trying to nit-pick here, |
|
but isn't every year a year of death?
And isn't there a more concise list to choose from? :)

My sympathy and empathy is with you. My dad died on December 14th. I'm still numb with grief.

I loved the pie fights he got into with Pookie the Lion. Soupy, The Three Stooges and Laurel and Hardy got honorable mention at my father's funeral on December 18th. He loved them all.

Mary Travers, more than anyone else.
She was a symbol of my youth, a woman I watched mature and grow (while I, too, was hopefully maturing and growing), and, in the end, a shining light of brilliance suddenly extinguished far too soon.
On a personal level, this was the one that hit hardest; the candle whose flame has forever disappeared - but one that will somehow continue to light the way for generations to come.
Rest in peace, MT. Rest in peace.
