I had to dig a latrine today
Almost two feet of snow. The dawgs had no convenient place to squat. I wouldn't want to have to squat in the snow, either.

I shoveled a path out to a point about 20 feet off the deck and then shoveled a flat area for them.

They have yet to say thank you.

1. Oh I'm quite sure there's a steaming pile of thank you just around the corner.
That was awfully civilized and thoughtful of you Stinkster. I bet your critters secretly think the world of you.

Cheers!

3. Hehehe ... it was sort of self-preservative
Big left a gift on the rug just outside my basement office. I'm sure there was a message in that act.

2. Yeah, I guess dogs might find it weird to try 'make do' in a snow-submerged back yard

4. That's very much how LIttle acts in the snow.
She dives into it and buries herself.

Today, both of them had a great deal of fun laying in it while we were outside shoveling. Not that much snow, though. A little less than half that much, actually.

Here they are, while it was still snowing yesterday.

5. Aww, I love the snow shovel muzzle!
pushing the snow, pushing the snow...
Is Little the long haired one on the left?
I'd love to see my dog's reaction to snow, but we'd have to drive her up to the mountains to see.

6. Yeah, Little's the Border Collie and Big is the German Shepherd Dog
They had an absolute ball yesterday and today.

There's a number of multiple dog families if the neighborhood. They were all out today in the front yards, which was unusual and they all got to run .... and fight a little.
