What entire TV series do you own on DVD?
Edited on Sun Dec-20-09 06:33 PM by arcadian
I've got all of LOST, gonna be getting season 5 after the new year. Working on getting all of the X-Files.

Would like every Star Trek. TNG, DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, TOS and Animated. Also Northern Exposure. Would also like MST3K

For got I had 'The Lone Gunmen', It's easy to collect the series that only lasted one season. :D

Season 7,8,9,10 Season 10 is some god awful shite. I put the drop off point at the end of season 9. 'Homer Simpson vs. the city of New York' is a classic.

9. I don't own any, but I borrow or rent them, and I have recently done marathon viewing
in the past few months:

Strangers With Candy
Six Feet Under
The Sopranos

I tend to watch them one after another until I've seen them all, and then move on to another show. Right now I'm toward the end of the 4th season of The Sopranos.

I'm holding off on Northern Exposure because they weren't able to include the music as originally aired (copyright). Music was such an important part of that series, I think it would be jarring to watch old favorite eps with the changes.

My sister gave me her set. She gave me her DVD player, too. I had been holding out for DVD-Rs to get more affordable, but life took a nasty turn. She was getting rid of it all, so I was happy to accept.

My wish list:
Monty Python's Flying Circus
The Simpsons
Benny Hill
Absolutely Fabulous
Star Trek
Emergency!
Black Adder
Faulty Towers
Arrested Development
Monk
Becker
Night Court

The PBS history of New York was a seven DVD set that had to be added to with an 8th episode after 9/11.

The BBC "World At War" includes all 26 hour long shows, on 11 DVDs, narrated by Sir Laurence Olivier. It is better than the PBS "War".

I have the last 7 seasons of Stargate SG-1, and 2 seasons of Enterprise. I also have old VCR recordings of all of Star Trek: TNG and Babylon 5.

I really want the Captain Scarlet boxed DVD set. I grew up with that stuff, and remember it very fondly. Gerry and Sylvia Anderson series.

Profiler, Remington Steele, Dr. Quinn, and Andromeda for complete sets.

I am working on completing Monk, Nip/Tuck, and Crossing Jordan. I am starting to collect Leverage now too. Looking forward to getting Castle Season One for Christmas.

I have Seasons 1 through 4 of Charmed. It turned me off half way through season 4 because they botched the way the way wrote out Cole, IMHO. Yes they may not have had a choice but to write him out but they could have done a better job of it. JMHO.

I also didn't like Season 4 of NCIS, so I chose not to get it. Couldn't stand the woman who they hired to play a love interest for Tony, felt she was a horrible actress and she and Michael Weatherly had no chemistry together at all, IMHO, and they spent way too much time on their romance. I wish they'd leave the romance stuff out, and just concentrate on the comraderie of the team and the cases, that's what works, for that show, IMHO. I have started collecting it again though.

Fun question, thanks.

Although the discs for Series VIII are bad, I need to get new ones.

Only discovered that they were bad the first time I opened the case which was about a year after I bought them.

Also have Cowboy Bebop and Fullmetal Alchemist.
