3. I've started wearing smart wool socks. |

They seem to really make a difference. Found them at Dick's Sporting Goods.

6. have you ever put cayenne pepper in your socks? |
|
It actually works, but a word of warning - don't put too much in. I was skeptical and used to ride a bicycle all winter, so tired of cold feet decided to put in a tablespoon or two in each sock. Let's just say that the rest of the day, even after washing my feet, and changing my socks and shoes, my feet were on fire. I worked in a kitchen, rode a bike and had a gig that night, and apparently sweating makes it go into your pores better. "better". ha.
I even went out in the snow without a coat on at one point just to cool off.

I just know that the couple of spoonfuls I used was far too much. I later discovered that it can burn you, much like pepper spray, so I don't necessarily really advise anyone to do this.
It may make a funny prank though....

13. When my feet get really cold... |
|
Edited on Mon Dec-21-09 09:52 PM by AsahinaKimi
It affects the rest of me, so a hot shower... and then sit next to the portable space heater when I start to get cold again. A hot cup of tea helps too.

14. Furry mammals on your feet. Works every time. |
|
Cats and dogs work well, but if you could find a nice big friendly bear, that would be even better.
