early on at DU - I had enough time to post that a number of other duers "knew" or at least recognized me. By the time name changes were available, I wasn't posting as much - and a name change would take me from mostly anonymous (most of the posters weren't around when I used to post more), to completely anonymous. I sort of like that at least a few folks remember me - so I have stuck with the original nic.
