Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
I get to have my gall bladder removed next Monday. Not exactly the way I wanted to spend my vacation. I don't have any stones, but my HIDA scan showed a 18% fraction ejection and anything below %35 is considered abnormal.

1. Lap Choleycystectomy is fairly easy so I hear
I had mine open (incision) about 23 years ago and needed a few weeks off work to recover. You'll be up and at 'em in no time at all.

best wishes for an uneventful procedure and a speedy recovery.

2. I was riding horseback and partying the next weekend.
I know somebody else who I consider to be in much better physical shape than me who was out of commission for a couple weeks so I guess it is variable.

4. Not to worry.
Doc knocked me out at 11am. I was back home by 3pm, checking email. No pain, a little discomfort and a bit tired. Took Advil and naps for a couple of days, back on the streets.

6. I had one in April of this year
I was scared, but it was over before I knew it. They wheeled me in and next thing you know, I was waking up and they were wheeling me out.
