RIP George Michael (George Michael's Sports Machine)
Famed sportscaster George Michael dies

George Michael, dean of Washington sportscasters, has died after a long battle with cancer, according to a reporter at WRC-TV (Channel 4), his former employer. Michael covered sports at WRC-TV (Channel 4) for 28 years until resigning in 2008 in response to budget cuts.

He was a great sportscaster, always entertaining to watch. He will be sorely missed.

2. I grew up watching him everyday on the local news
and then on weekends on the sports machine. I will miss him terribly.

4. I loved watching him and Sonny Jurgensen pick football games
on Friday nights.You couldn't be a Skins fan here without watching SOMETHING he did.. RIP.:cry:

I grew up watching him, and loved his show when I was fortunate enough to be stationed back near DC during my military service.
