1. Gulf War 1. - I think. Oh, and a bottle of 1974 Boones Farm that was a joke gift.

One small bottle (about 6 oz) of by now very fermented Ginsing Drink in a funky bottle (with a peice of 'sang that looks like Mandrake Root) from - Taiwan, I guess - that someone gave me for Xmas that just kept moving around with the other refrigerator condiments over the years.

I'm afraid to open it. I think I'll wait until the screwcap finally gives way before I consider calling the Hazmat people.

However, I could swear some of of the stuff lurking around in the back of the fridge have come across via interdimensional space-time rift; I never know what to expect to see when I open the door...

2. There are a few things I don't use very often
which doesn't mean they actually last forever.

1974 Boones Farm... I bet you could get a lot for that on EBAY!

3. Not sure, but I believe I rode a mastodon to the store the day I purchased it.
The hand craved stone jar is attractive.

4. Not in my fridge, but actually in the pantry of a friend.
I had worked in a food warehouse and we would get stuff from damaged cases. I had given him and his wife one of those inexpensive pound cakes in a box.

Now his house is like my own and I can get what to eat what I like, usually just a soda, but I watched this pound cake in the pantry--year after year. Finally, after 10 years it somehow got tossed (that is 10 years past its expiration date). It took a lot from me all those years to keep my mouth shut.

I am currently keeping my eye on some cans of Surge soda that are on a ledge going down to their basement that have also expired some 10 years ago. They may actually be worth some money.

Once upon a time down in a musty room in their basement I found some old record albums, some had been the wife's sister who is a few years younger than myself. One of the albums I recognized but had never before seen an actual copy of the album cover:

The cover did have some damage from dampness, but their youngest son did sell it and get something for it.

7. I have some old spices in cans that probably go back to the Carter administration.
No, of course I don't use them anymore, but keep thinking that the tins might be worth something on eBay. I have Kroger and A&P tins.
