I had a plastic container of catnip, which I opened and left on the floor for them to sniff. Unfortunately, I then tripped over it and spilled it everywhere. The cats found it immediately, of course, rolled in it, spread it around, started fighting with each other, and became generally fucked up. There is catnip everywhere.
Feliz Navidad, gatos.

3. I think for cats it's more like a human alcohol high than a human pot high |

w/ lost inhibitions and exaggerated, extreme emotions, don't you? During the long life of my cat (I haven't been able to have one in a long time b/c where I live now it's next to impossible to find a reasonably-priced, pet-friendly apartment), I limited his exposure to catnip to a "happy hour" a few times a week. He always seemed to know when to expect it, and liked the routine. Of course, cats love routine in general. Helps them feel they know what's going on.
