Anybody See Any Good Movies Today?
I saw Up in the Air which was pretty good.

Saw Avatar in IMAX 3D tonight. The plot was much better than I expected and the visuals and sound that the IMAX enhanced was phenomenal. All around, an excellent film.

1. Saw Food Inc last week. Pretty good. Saw Anvil too. Pretty good as well.
Tried to watch the Cove but couldn't make it through to the end of the movie. It was too horrible.

2. The Onion Movie
Rented this one the other night...pretty funny in places, lame in others, but definitely not a "family movie."

3. saw District 9 - on DVD - thought it was good

If you like science fiction- good movie. the format made it more
beleivable & I loved the main actor, think he's South African.

7. Great movie
But definitely not for everyone... I recommended this movie to a few friends and some were turned off by it at the start (one actually left the theater). It seems the documentary feel of it at the start of the movie lost their patience. Probably not a great movie for those with a short attention span, but there is a lot to this movie if you have patience and pay attention.

5. just finished watching "Die Falscher (the counterfeiters)" which
Edited on Sat Dec-26-09 04:08 PM by jonnyblitz
isa german movie about jews in a concentration camp kept alive by the nazis due to having various skills required to make counterfeit money.

I am now watching a French movie called "Translyvania" staring Dario Argento's daughter Asia Argento. I am not sure if it is good or not yet because i am only 25 minutes into it. it is NOT a vampire movie and it features gypsy and Romanian people/culture which is what drew me to it.

6. The Hangover
I watched it twice in one sitting... once by myself and then when my wife came home watched it again. It's funny as all hell, but not always in a LOL way... it just kind of grows on you and the plot itself lends to the humor. Speaking of plot - great story by itself even without the humor.
