I lost my volunteer job at the SPCA today |
|
I was told by my boss I can't work with the public. He did say I did my best, but people were saying I gave them the wrong information about the cats I tried to adopt out.
I can come back when there's a job available where I don't have to have direct contact with the public, such as a back office job. :(

1. Meow2u3, I am sorry to read this... |
|
But I want to congratulate you for having such a good heart and channeling your energy toward working with animals.
And...don't be down on yourself. Sometimes, bosses have other motives for letting people go other than what is said. Who knows...maybe he has a relative in mind for the position or something.
As long as you try your best at something, you are successful.

2. Maybe I can try another shelter |
|
where I can just work with the cats and dogs and not have to deal with people. I'm one of those who doesn't get humans.

3. Sure, it's tough to get fired from volunteer work. But so what. There |
|
are other jobs out there. And the important thing is that you can work with the animals. They are the ones that need your help anyway. Not the people. dc

I am so sorry...what a blow to your self-esteem. I've had people tell me stuff like that too, and it's hard to get past it.
Give yourself some time to mourn, and then look for something that fits you, really fits.
