Your children do not want to hear you complain about why they can't spend the entire day with you. Just appreciate the fact that it isn't you who is running around all day eating multiple meals and listening to such complaints.

And the divorced parents of a child who married another child of divorced parents should pay particularly close attention.

P.S. While this was prompted by another thread, it isn't meant to imply the OP of that other thread was complaining. ;) And this post is meant to be light-hearted...I'm used to the holidays as they are...
