I have just completed arranging all of my doilies so they would not be scattered willy-nilly.

3. The so forth I'm ok with.
The what not just seems a bit insensitive,

with the Holidays and such.

And doily is an iffy word at any time of the year.

Please, we have kids posting here.

12. Decaf, my friend
and no creme de meth, and no more from the ethsnol group. And please do remember to blink, dear - it may not seem important now, but you'll thank me tomorrow. Adrenaline, whether quasi-heroically mainlined or insidiously drip-fed by "those who really care", is a serious drug - and one should take precautions.

13. yr doin' it wrong
As defined by http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1O31-doily.html ...

doily
In the late seventeenth century, during the reign of Queen Anne, an ingenious merchant sold a material that appealed to his customers because it was attractive and cheap. The material was used for summertime wear, but another use for the material has continued to this day, even though the material is no longer used for summer clothing. The shopkeeper, whose shop was in the Strand in London, was named Doily, Doiley , Doyley , or Doyly . His given name is unknown, but his product has thrived. His name, anyway, as doily, has memorialized him in the form of an ornamental mat or napkin used on cake dishes and the like. Hostesses placed these doilies under glassware and finger bowls.

... Italics mine.
