My daughter is moving to Brooklyn next month

Specificlly, Prospect Heights. Anyone familiar with the area? I've googled info about the area but was wanting to hear from real people/locals.

Although I have not lived in the neighborhood very long, I have been coming to the Prospect Park area for a little while to visit friends before I moved here. Prospect Heights is pretty cool as far as things to do, and your daughter will be very close to several trains into Manhattan as well as a lot of local stuff in Brooklyn. It's not as fancy a neighborhood as some (which also means it's more affordable), but it's also not as rough as some areas. It's really close to the park, the Brooklyn Library, the Art Museum/Botanical Gardens, and lots of shopping and restaurants. Also, I walk in that area a lot visiting my friends, and there are usually people out and about (which makes it safer), although that can depend on the street in question also. But this is definitely a decent neighborhood. Good luck to her!
