It's my fifteenth birthday today.
My family(one brother and one mother) and I went to Appelbees. No birthday presents given today ,though. In another fifteen years I will be thirty. Will I have to start to worry about my age right there and then ? I'm already worrying about it now.

Technically, I turned fifteen years old yesterday, as I was born in the Philippines.Do you think they will ever get rid of the Natural-Born Citizen requirement ?I am starting to gain an interest in becoming President someday.

1. Happy Birthday to you!
Don't ever worry about your age - you'll be old soon enough. Concentrate on having as much fun as possible now and celebrate!

10. Anything you like as long as it's legal
What is fun for one person is not for another so you have to figure that out for yourself. That's just part of growing up.

3. PLEASE don't worry about turning 30!
You have fifteen years to go before that happens. Anyway, if you worry too much about tomorrow, you'll miss out on today. You're young. Enjoy it!

5. Happy 15th Birthday, Progressivism!
Wow, you must know that to most of the rest of us, that seems pretty young. And, no, it's not time to worry about your age. Just try to do the best that you can at whatever age you are. You're already ahead of most people your age because you're here on DU! :patriot:

And it'll be another 20 years before you'll even be old enough to be president, and who knows what remarkable changes there'll be in all that time?!

A little parade in your honor: :hi:

11. happy birthday!
i turned 20 a couple of months ago and i'm starting to feel old. i still refer to myself as a kid, but for the first time i'm actually gaining weight (just when i was starting to be satisfied with being a thin guy!) and my back problems are getting to me. and it's a good thing i did a lot of drinking in high school and the start of school because now i can't drink on SSRIs (wish i would've known that for the first six months i was taking them. would've saved me from a lot of violent outbursts and drunk driving).

15. You're like a teenager. If you start to "feel old" you'll look old sooner. Seriously.
I read a study that young people's (adolescents) attitudes about aging influenced their health in their later years. For whatever reason, young people who were optimistic about their expectations of aging enjoyed better health than young people who imagined themselves aging pessimistically.

Maybe young people who accept their own reality of aging are more likely to take care of themselves?

Also, if your SSRI is Effexor, then yeah, your anger problems could be related to the medication. If you are taking Effexor go ahead and PM me, and I'll tell you about it. :)

13. One thing is for sure...being President will age you faster than anything!
We have seen every US President, since cameras were invented, look 20 years older in a span of just 4 years.

Just take good care of yourself, and you'll look and feel great all your life. Age in numbers? Who cares about chronological age!

Happy Birthday! :hi:

14. Just make sure you get the health insurance cos. to pay for your college education --
it would be so sad to have to get there and then give them whatever they want without having gotten something in return. Seriously, tap that sweet insurance money now, or you'll never respect yourself in the future.

22. Do that one more time and you'll be 30. Do 30 one time after that and it's sixty ville.

My son's 15 and he swears he'll never be such an old fart as I am, just as I promised my father I wouldn't be him.

But it's a great life, well worth living.
