3. Red Lobster
I ate at our local Red Robin (across the street from Red Lobster) ONCE and I thought I was going to hurl. It was worse than a cafeteria burger--all filler, no trace of real beef. I get ooky just thinking about it, and it was about two years ago. :puke:

4. My 14 year old loves Red Robin
In fact we ate there yesterday after a hockey game
His mother much prefers Red lobster which is all the more reason to vote for red robin.
Besides they have televisions all over the place and we were able to chatch a good chunk of yesterdays packer game.

5. Red Robin, hands down
Red Robin is better at being a burger joint than Red Lobster is at being a seafood restaurant.

6. For seafood, go to Legal Seafoods. The best chain by far...
just too bad they're not everywhere...the Rhode Island Clam Chowder is a nice, lowfat alternative to the classic clam chowder...and oh, the oysters!

9. And wouldn't you know it, there's no Legal Seafoods in my neck of the woods
Thank you! I'll keep the recommendation in mind.

19. I like them a lot better now that they are singing rather than in the old days
when we were threatening to blow each other up.

Very happy we seem to have avoided that so far....

IIRC, their music is in the Hunt For The Red October.

I'm not a red lobster fan. But when I ate at Red Robin once because I got a gift card, the grease and fat made me queasy.

Looking at the nutritional info, I see why. Their burgers are almost all over a thousand calories. It's disgusting.

Red Lobster at least has some healthy dinner options, with a lot of main courses that are 200-500 calories. http://stanford.wellsphere.com/restaurant-menu/red-lobster/175958?category=Dinner

(That website is awesome for preplanning what you'll order when you go out. I had a gift card for macaroni grill, I was shocked at how unhealthy a lot of their dinners are.)

13. Red Lobster has Cheddar Bay biscuits
I can make them at home.

Red Robin has a tower of onion rings, I can make that at home too, but I want them less frequently so I would spend less money at Red Robin, it it goes to them.

Hmm, I think my faux cheddar bay biscuits are on the menu tomorrow night.

I have eaten at Red Lobster. It's pretty much what I think Hell will be like...

17. Neither is great, but both are fine for chain family joints
I like Red Robin's burgers and sandwiches. Red Lobster has nice seafood specials for a very fair price. Neither are real high end, but neither is a dirty spoon joint. both are exactly what you would expect from a national chain, menues for mass production at a fair price.

20. Red Robin, because I used to eat at the original one when I worked near it.
Sure, it's pretty indistinguishable from any other Red Robin, but it *is* the original, and does have a pretty nice view.
