I am so tired
Yesterday I was washing dishes, around 4 pm, and I suddenly had this WHAM hit me. it was like a bolt of lightening. a vision of my mom in trouble.

I hurriedly dried my hands and called her. She lives one state away from me.

When she answered the phone she was hardly breathing and kept saying "what should I do"

I called 911 and they came and took her to hospital.

My sister, who is a nurse, and lives near my mom, rushed to her side after I called her too.

My mom has serious vascular problems, and lives alone, but just this week started fainting as she stood up.

Its a hypotension , when someone her age has it, their blood rushes to their feet and they faint.

In other words, she is rapidly declining.

The doctor says she must now go into a nursing home.

I feel so sad for her, altho she tells me she doesnt mind.

Maybe shes tired of living alone.

I am tired, I guess. My husbands, my son, my dad. all on the other side.

and now my mom becoming so ill.

Not complaining, just a sigh of oh, here I go again.

I guess at a certain age much of your family is here and also there eventually.

sorry, had to vent a little.

6. i'm so sorry :(
Gosh, I'm going through this with my great grandma and great aunt right now. One is my dad's aunt, and the other is my mom's grandma. They're in their late 80s. Until this year they've been very independent and have lived at home without any trouble. Then all of a sudden BAM they got sick. They're both now in nursing homes. It absolutely breaks my heart. It's a real reality check when your family members start getting sick in old age. My grandpa has dementia as well. He still lives at home though, with my grandma. It drives her crazy. I just wish I could go back in time and see them like they used to be...so full of life and vitality. Now it's like they're just wasting away. So sad.
