Calling a crisis hotline
Edited on Wed Dec-30-09 06:51 PM by Juche
Are these anonymous? How does it work?

I'm looking for a therapist type person to talk to and don't know where to look.

3. 211 will get you pointed in the right direction
Dial it like 911, but it's 211. The operators can point you toward therapists/crisis hotlines, and can answer your other questions as well.

4. If you really feel you need to talk
Edited on Wed Dec-30-09 07:57 PM by hippywife
to a therapist on a crisis hotline, please do not take advice from DUers to discuss your problem here. Call the crisis hotline and seek out a professional.

I hope you find what you need.

6. If you feel the need to talk, call the hotline or 211
Those people are compassionate and trained to help you in any way they can.

best wishes.
