Edited on Wed Dec-30-09 07:34 PM by greenbriar
1 Can Evaporated Milk
3 LBS hamburger...I use ground chuck or sirloin
2 cups quick oatmeal (I use 1 and 1/2 cup cooked rice as hubby is allergic to oats)
2 eggs
1 cup chopped fresh onions...chop them really small
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp chili powder

Mix well and shape into size of large walnuts or golf balls
place in flat pans one layer to each pan

Sauce

2 cups catsup
1 cup brown sugar
2 Table spoons liquid smoke
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 cup chopped onions chopped fine

Dissolve and pour over meatballs. Cook at 350 for one hour

My Cheese Dip

1 can mild rotel tomatoes
1 can petite diced tomatoes
1 lb ground chuck or sirloin
1 block of Velveeta cheese

cube the cheese
crumble and fry the hamburger and salt and pepper to taste.
Layer tomatoes hamburger and cheese in the crock pot and heat over low

Stir often to keep from scorching the cheese.

I use Tostito scoop chips but any are fine.

3. My sister used to make a great Velveeta dip
She browned some pork sausage and stirred it into melted Velveeta. Heart Attack City, but it was good!

7. Won Ton Appetizers
You gotta try these too...they are sooo good.

1 (16 ounce) package wonton wrappers
1 pound sausage
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup chopped black olives, drained
1 cup Ranch-style salad dressing

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a miniature muffin pan with cooking spray.
Insert wonton wrappers into the muffin pan so as to form small cups. Bake 5 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow the baked wrappers to cool. Remove from the pan.
In a medium bowl, mix the sausage, Monterey Jack, Cheddar, black olives and Ranch-style dressing. Fill the baked wonton wrapper cups with the mixture.
Bake the filled wonton wrappers 10 to 15 minutes, until the sausage mixture is bubbly and slightly brown. Watch closely so the wonton wrappers do not burn.

9. What kind of sausage? Regular plain ol' bulk country sausage?
Italian? This is one that I would love to try tomorrow.

10. Yes, Italian sausage is the best
Take out of the casings and chop it real fine while frying.

Hope you like it. It's really good.

14. I'm going out tomorrow morning to get the things that I need
Tomorrow is our annual hors d'oeuvres dinner where we make up tons of the suckers and just chow down. Some are home made, some are prepared, but all are delicious.

13. I just realized this recipe doesn't say to fry the sausage first
before you mix with the cheese & other ingredients. Chop it very fine while frying and drain really well before adding to the cheese mixture.
