he's not really playing with the rhythm section.
He does his thing and they are relegated to just play along. If one of them dropped out, I doubt he would even notice.
Not my cup of tea.

Every time you post something about music, I learn something.
Maybe the acoustics weren't optimal. At one point the piano was drowning out the bass solo, which I don't think he would do on purpose.
