Hard to go wrong with Mancini. Plus, it's in the movie Sexy Beast, which kicks ass!

It's really pleasing that there is someone out there that truly appreciates Henry Mancini like i do. Lujon is good, but have to say my all time favorite album is the Peter Gunn soundtrack. There are so many great jazz numbers on that album. Granted it's the west coast polite sound of jazz, but gawd shazam damn that is great stuff! I was exposed to Mancini at the early age of three by an eight track titled "This is Henry Mancini" on the RCA label. He's one of my greatest musical influences right next to Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix, no joke. His music is so detailed; so many people miss that in my opinion.
There is another song from the "Mr. Lucky" soundtrack, called "The March of the Cue Balls". You can get it on I-tunes. Another good one to grab is "Blues for Mother's". Really great saxophone work. Sorry to ramble, but like i said it's great to find a fellow fan.

3. Theme song to Hatari..... |

is a current fixation of mine. A lousy movie blessed by such a subtle, evocative theme song. I've just started to appreciate Mancini in the last few years.
