Anyone here into board games? (Australian board games?)
I saw on the news a couple of weeks ago a new board game out of Australia they said it was the hottest game there. It was a "list" game -- you picked a card and it asks a question and you have to list whatever it asks you. Anyway, I am trying to find out what the name of this game is (and if it's even available on these shores). I put the same question in our Australian section of DU so maybe someone will see it there too. I tried searching for it online but it's so vague that lots of things come up but not what I am looking for.

Anyone know?

Thanks.

1. Are you thinking perhaps of "The Rich List"?
This is a program on our Channel 7. Two teams of two compete over three rounds to name the most subjects which comply with a given question. For example, the question might be "How many countries can you name whose name begins with the letter Z"? The first team may nominate 4, the second team has the opportunity to increase that number, the first team has the right to go higher etc. Eventually, one teams drops out. The other team has to then list the specified number of countries. Giving a wrong answer or failing to come up with the required number means that team has lost the round. Of course, answering correctly means the team wins the round.

The wiki page is

<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rich_List_(Australian_game_show)>

The link given there to the official site doesn't appear to work at present.

I don't know if it has been turned into a board game and if so whether it's "hot". I don't move in those circles.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

2. Sorry, I got one (or more) details wrong
I believe that if the teams are level after two rounds, there is a "sudden death" round. The teams are asked the same question and have to nominate individual answers. If one team answers correctly and the other doesn't, the first team wins (penalty shootout in soccer). If both answer correctly or incorrectly, they go on to the following question.

I know this degree of detail sounds a bit anal (and I've only watched the program twice) but it might help in your search.

Cheers

Joseph
