I don't think I can go home for spring break.
Apparently, if I take the train at peak periods, it leads to me having four panic attacks a day.

This is on klonipin, kiddies. Although I'm on the lowest dose so it's kind of like a sugar pill anyway.

1. Can you rent a car instead?
Or get one of the 'rents to come get you?

4. I don't drive at all.
And since they piss and moan about driving me somewhere that takes 15 minutes to get to, I doubt five hours each way is an option.

5. Ah. I know how that goes, I didn't learn to drive until I was 25.
Is somebody from your school going home to the same area for the break? Maybe you can catch a ride with somebody if you offer to split gas or something?

I can certainly understand how taking a crowded train could give you panic attacks. I'm not prone to them, but I have hearing problems that are much worse if there's background noise (and a group of people talking is the worst since people talking is the one thing I generally have to try to hear and understand) so crowds cause me a great deal of stress and it's impossible for me to relax.

2. My dear lightningandsnow...
There has to be some other way to get home...

Can you travel during off-hours?

Or increase your medication?

3. I guess there are no longer 'ride boards'
A board on campus where you post when and where you want a ride and offer gas money for someone going the same direction who has room for you. In the old days you could establish a frequent rider relationship with them and have rides both ways for all breaks. I made money with my car seeking riders.

7. On a down note, it's probably not really the spring anyway?
