It's a Long Way to the Top if You Wanna Rock'n'Roll - AC/DC
Bagpipe rock at its best.

This video has it all--the late Bon Scott showing off his bare midriff, a teenaged Angus Young, and the rock band on the back of a flatbed lorry driving through town.

And did I mention bagpipes?

Needs more cowbell? The heck with that. From now on, to improve anything, I say, "It needs more bagpipes."

2. I never knew Bon Scott could rock the bagpipes.
I always thought those were just studio musicians.

4. I only knew of him after the fact, post-mortem, I'm sad to say.
I first got into AC/DC when Back in Black came out in 1980; I was in 7th grade. So I only got to "know" Bon by buying their earlier albums, but never knew much about the guy, other than he was a roadie for the band before taking over the mike.

July 1977 - Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin Texas

memorable for me because

1) THEY RAWWWWWKED

2) I was running late and had to attend the concert in my work uniform - USAF dress blues, nylons, pumps - very popular with the guys in the crowd - heck, I was 20 years old :D

found this by Googling: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendId=437709351&blogId=511341381

but I spent a cold December night/morning in the Dallas Airport in 1972 with a very nice AF female personage right out of bootcamp. I was heading home from Navy bootcamp and we were stuck because of bad weather. A very nice time was had by all.

And we were both in our dress blues.

heck I was just a teenager and it was the seventies so I had my USAF skirts tailored a bit shorter - nothing really smutty, just a couple inches above the knee. Got called into the Major's office one day (really cool guy) - conversation went like this:

Major: AIRMAN, be advised someone has complained about the length of your skirt.

Me (looking down at skirt): So I need to lengthen my skirts?

Major: I didn't say that; I said BE ADVISED SOMEONE HAS COMPLAINED ABOUT THE LENGTH OF YOUR SKIRT. DISMISSED!

Confused, I left and did nothing about the length of my skirts, which in hindsight I guess is what the Major wanted

10. As a senior NCO
I had a chat with our Chief of Staff about the length of a female Navy Captain's skirts. Per regs they were too long. Are we gonna abide by regs or what? Navy uniform regs specified the length a skirt could be relative to the knee.
