3. Was washing dishes

I thought it was just sensitive because I had abraded it on some rough scorched stuff, but no. After chopping chicken through the discomfort, i looked and noticed the blister on my mouse finger. Incidentally, I almost cut through the nail with my knife(luckily caught it before it could cut flesh, so no harm done just very scary). It just now occurred to me that the two might be connected. Its playing hobb with my typing, let me tell ya.

I showed the blister to my wife. She stands by her assessment that the tap water temp is perfect and feels "very nice"

5. When I was at boarding school, we could make coffee from water out of the tap.

We weren't allowed to have appliances, even hair dryers, because they were terrified of fires, but just running the faucet for a minute made it hot enough, and that was steaming hot!

Put your hand in ice water, to cool it and take away the pain... x(

When I turn off the faucet, I always make sure it's turned to the cold, so I won't burn myself...

And the water heater is in my closet. My wife has been agitating to turn it UP for almost 2 years now. I think I can successfully table that motion permanently, but turning it down would go over like a lead plated rock balloon.

I just shower with the water set where the red and blue meet. Never had any problems yet.

15. Getting scalded with the hot water means it's way too hot.

Why does your wife want the setting so high it's actually unusable? I can see the setting being a 140 degrees for a dishwasher but then one should install tempering valves for the faucets and shower/tub.

14. I had a hot water tank that was really hot. I could have scalded myself

badly so I asked the electrician to turn the hot water tank down and he did. The water was more than hot enough for a shower or a bath.
