Demi Moore threatening to sue Boing Boing for looking at her pictures |
|
Lawyers representing Demi Moore sent a threatening letter to Boing Boing over the holidays which demanded that we remove a post I published in November, or face legal consequences. In the referenced Boing Boing post, I published photographer Anthony Citrano's speculation that a recent W Magazine cover image of the actress may have been crudely manipulated by magazine staff to alter her hip, and appear thinner. http://www.boingboing.net/2009/12/28/demi-moores-lawyers.html

2. And the most ridiculous thing? |
|
There was no reason to shave her exposed hip down, particularly since the thigh wasn't also retouched. The touch-up makes it look like her left leg has a shelf under the wrap.

3. Amazing that such a crude photoshop made it onto a magazine cover |
|
Usually they are much more subtle. I don't understand how Demi and her lawyers can maintain that the picture wasn't altered.

4. I believe I can settle this. |

Her hip was obviously inflated for the Korean cover, in keeping with the "Women in Full" issue theme.
