Reenlistment Update 1

Back from the recruiting office today...here's what I know:

My old job, which I actually liked, is a specialty in high demand right now. I would be required to take that job. Hopefully I can convince them I need to go back to the training base for an update course: some things I don't need, some things I would want to see over and I definitely need a refresher in some of the reporting formats.

So...tomorrow I go back up there. Should only be a couple weeks now...

1. Stay safe. Pick your targets carefully.

My understanding is that the bad guys are getting good at setting up misleading SIGINT to throw the good guys' targeting off (which explains all the funeral & wedding parties). I know you can't say nothing about it here, but I sure hope someone over there is working out how to not get suckered like that.

And of course thanks for putting it on the line. I just sent off a couple of my recently graduated students over to the surge. I may be one of the last DUers to trust the president that this is the best, fastest, and most responsible way out of there.
