9. We have the 500 series and it works pretty good.

It pics up a ton of dust from places our normal vac would never reach. We clean it after every use for optimum results. Amazon has a great customer reviews section on these. We picked ours up from Woot.com
And as a bonus, it's kinda' cool having a robot servant!

11. I love my Roomba
I use it every two days when I leave for work and goggie is in her crate and kitty asleep. Like others have said, it's great for maintaining a clean space, but I wouldn't use it for a first-time vacuuming of a space.

It really works wonders since we have a dog and a cat and it goes under furniture and chairs, picking up a lot of fur, even though we have a Dyson which is fantastic.

We loved our Roomba so much so that we bought two more (they were at Sam's Club) and gave one to my mom and one to my SO's mom.

12. No, but I'd like to get one
There are very few things out there that can entertain your cats and clean up after them at the same time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQ-jv8g1YVI

15. I have 2, different brands. Love them! The only problem is,
while they save me effort, they don't save me a lot of time.

See, I have this stupid habit, because they fascinate me so, of standing there just watchng them work! Dumb, huh? I actually enjoy watching the patterns they run in (different by brand), and the worst thing, the worst! thing, is I watch to see if and when one of them pick ups that ONE dust or dirt ball I have fixated on. Sometimes it takes a while, and I get all happy when it happens, and sometimes the darn thing doesn't ever find it, so I actually have to pick up the vacuum and place him (I call them -- both -- "him") right on the bad thing.

Sometimes, if I'm in a hurry maybe, I run them both in the same room at the same time and watch them play "bumper cars"!

Cheap thrills in a dull life?

Oh, I have an iRoomba and a CleanMate II, which is much, much slower than the other, so I waste that much more time watching him.
