3. Collaberating with Queen--Under Pressure--
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtrEN-YKLBM

It's just a great song. Don't know how much he contributed, but it is.

(Odd vixengrl insight--I heard Nirvana's version of "The Man who Sold the World" first and like it better because I hate Bowies's "assumed voice".

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSnXjE66tvQ

Cobain's ragged vocals sound more world-weary than Bowie's more affected kind of light and airy vocalization on the many renditions I've heard him do. If Bowie sang it as Bowie with his natural baritone, I'd like it a hell of a lot better. And then that would be my favorite.)

Stevie Ray Vaughn and Omar Hakim locking up on the good foot!

But, "Little, Fat Man" from Extras ranks right up there.

22. Sweet Thing/Candidate/Sweet Thing (Reprise)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBezS7ElQJU

I love just about all of his work before Tonight except for Secret Life of Arabia and his horrible cover of Alabama Song, and for that matter I like a handful of songs post-Tonight.

But Sweet Thing/Candidate/Sweet Thing (Reprise) stands above just about everything else in his catalog IMO, before or since.

29. Rise & Fall of Ziggy Stardust is probably my favorite Bowie album.
I was going to post Soul Love but you beat me to it.

"Oh You Pretty Things"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBQ-S6njQQw
Here's where he flaunts the controversial "maybe I'm gay".
Although he was brave for that, back in the early '70s, I honestly could care less about his sexual orientation. I just think it's a catchy tune.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-VQv65jiH8

OK...not my favorite, but in the top 5-10 consistently.

If you don't know it--and the beginning doesn't grab you--stick around until the singalong ending. You may like that part. Kind of an Atlantis, Hey Jude sheer force of repetition thing....

Happy b-day Mr. Bowie.
