One of the many reasons I love where I live--Chapel Hill, NC-- |
|
which received a "Most Livable City" Award is due to the fare free bus system. Check it out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaCrMbRidYY

1. I grew up in NC in a small town about an hour outside of Chapel Hill. |

What a great town with a progressive and friendly atmosphere! If I were to ever live in NC again, I think Chapel Hill would be one of only two places I could consider (Asheville being the other).

Chapel Hill is a terrific little progressive college town, but it's in danger of being taken over by the money that's been coming here. We elected an openly gay mayor last fall--but he only won because the vote split between two more right leaning candidates. One right leaner was elected to town council.
Still, there are so many interesting people here. I really do love it.

Hi, As a frequent bus rider, thank you for this. I know the fares they charge here make up a very small part of their revenue. I wish more people would use the bus system where I live.
Peace
