Off topic but what year can we finally stop posting dial-up warning? I thought 2007 would be enough, but here I am still seeing it in 2010. So when? 2015? :)

2. We finally got DSL in 2009.

We had dial-up until then. Sometimes it takes awhile to see progress out in the sticks.

We just got cable TV here in 1986! LOL

8. My old copper wire internet connection was assimilated into AT&T Borg glass fiber..

It's DSL, but it's not AT&T DSL. Even though it is. The copper was probably sent to China to be resurrected as plumbing fixtures.

It was that or comcast. When it happened I was still hating comcast something fierce. I still do.

We could have a ferociously fast and inexpensive internet connection to every house in the United States, but we are sort of a backwards nation with a stink of corruption about us.
