I know it is a purely symbolic move, as I don't have any friends or family who espouse anti-gay views, but I'll be dammed if I will ever share in the special day of a couple that would deprive two gay Americans of that same right.

5. I attend a wedding if there's food, drink, and dancing.
It's not like I give a shit about whoever it is getting married.

6. Good for you
Especially since their day is not about you. What are you going to do, quiz them first upon receipt of the invitation to make sure THEIR union fits YOUR needs?

7. I would attend a wedding in those circumstances, but
I wouldn't bring a gift and I'd leave as soon as the bar closed... :)

8. I was going to give mouth to mouth to a person...
but he couldn't answer my question about where he stood on a single payer health care plan. May he rest in peace.

10. Glad to see you upholding progressive values!
 I had the same problem with the family I decided not to rescue from a car crash.

9. I would not do that to my family but for some family ties don't count for much

I love members of my family even though we don't always vote the same way (actually some of us never have voted the same way)
