Bummer, New Star Trek movie isn't going to be until June 2012
Edited on Sun Jan-10-10 02:12 PM by DainBramaged
JJ Abrams has already been on the record saying that the sequel to 2009’s Star Trek should arrive in the Summer of 2012, but when? TrekMovie has confirmed with trusted sources that today the team behind the film decided to shoot for mid-Summer, with June 29, 2012 penciled in as the tentative date, setting the movie up for a big 4th of July opening.

4. It's strategically important to give the audience more time to forget what Star Trek used to be
You know.... back when it was really Star Trek.

From the publicity it looked like the women were hardly present. I have enough to be mad about without that. Plus they stiffed Shatner.

14. In this movie...
Spock (the original) recreates red matter and Scotty uses it to go back in time to when Checkov was being born. The movie fast forwards to Checkov's years in Star Fleet Academy and culminates with Kirk's first command of the Enterprise. In this timeline, Vulcan is spared, but Russia is destroyed. And for some reason there is now a (midly sexual) relationship involving McCoy and Uhura.

16. Better than having it suck big, bumpy rocks because they rushed it, I guess.
But also, DAMN.

I loved the re-boot, quite unexpectedly, so I'm really excited for the next installment.
