My kitty watching TV.
Nature was on PBS tonight with a program about hummingbirds. Lucy was glued to the picture for the better part of half an hour.

1. LOL
I'm not saying build a whole show around animals.
All I'm suggesting is we occasionally throw in a little
pet appeal.
- Some birds, a squirrel... - Mice.

Mice, exactly.

You remember Kojak and the lollipops?
What about a cop that dangles string, that's his gimmick?

16. Where does that come from?
I always love it when they show things that the cats find interesting. :hi:

31. "Scrooged"
Its the script w/o character titles.

Mitchum's character talking to Bill Murray's character.
It's why he wanted a doormouse in the "Scrooge" network special.

35. One of the funniest parts of that movie was when Bill Murray told the stage hand to
staple the reindeer antlers to the mice.....

Funny movie.

5. I watched that show
with hubby. The hummingbird in Peru with the two long feathers was too cool. Your cat has excellent taste in tv programs.

14. It was a very cool program.
We ALL enjoyed it very much. Well, except my other kitty, Lena. She was more interested in the cake I was putting together at the time.

15. Did she try to get the birdies?
Lucy watched from several vantage points and then looked behind the panel to see if she could catch them back there. LOL

27. She sure did! She cackled at the screen a couple of times too...
Near the end of the program she decided to investigate one particular bird and got too close to the screen and the static electricity got her. She lost interest in the program after that *lol* :hi:

30. LOL!
I bet she did. I've been surprised at how tolerant ours have been with the static in the fleece blankets this winter. It's the first experience with it for both of them.

7. ADORABLE!
My girl was reacting similarly to a show on Animal Planet about parrots a few days ago. :D

Also, sometimes she's into politics.

(That pic was on catsforobama.com last year. No, it's not photoshopped, and yes, that really is my cat.)

Beautiful little tortie you have. (Lucy is part tortie but you can't tell unless looking straight on since she only shows the markings on her head.) She looks like she's really reading it. LOL :hi:

8. Hahahahahahaha!
The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger loves to do this, too. His particular preference is "big cat" documentaries, although he got very excited once watching a documentary about feral cats living in the tunnels under Berlin or someplace. (We were surprised he understood that one. Heck, we didn't even know he spoke German.)

22. My cat was fascinated with Planet Earth
especially the scene where they show the Bird of Paradise mating dance. She was fixated then, watching the birds dance around on the screen. Wish I had a picture of it.

28. I didn't think I would manage
to get pics because I was at the kitchen table mixing up a cake, and she was originally on the back of one of the kitchen chairs watching. Of course, as soon as I had the camera, she had moved. Luckily she had merely moved to get a better view.

She loves to hunt flies and birds from inside the house. She gets that chattering thing going that just cracks me up, like she's talking to them.
