What sort of blasphemous alchemy occurs within a cat's vile bowels?
I mean, how do they ingest a handful of mild-smelling kibble and "classic pate" and extrude it as a pint of of eyeball-searing, paint-peeling, asphyxia-inducing toxic sludge?

24. Alchemy isn't primarily about transmutation of elements
It's the process of individuation.

2. To quote the late great Carlin, "The only thing that smells worse than cat food...
... is cat food that's been through a cat's digestive tract."

3. My vet said that if a cat stinks up the whole apartment
(as mine has on occasion), it's a sign that his food doesn't agree with him.

18. We had a bunch of dogs when I was growing up, and I have to say
that the very worst of their offerings, at the height of their very worst digestive maladies, don't compare even to a healthy cat's standard output.

10. What a coincidence! Ginger says cats ask the same thing about OUR bowel movements, and
that's why they eat grass to induce vomiting.

17. At least we humans generally have the decency to flush ours out of the house
And immediately after the act, we don't walk all over the cats and shove our posteriors into their faces.

11. in my experience, straight meat is even worse when it comes out
When I feed my cats minced chicken or fish from our dinner leftovers, the smell of the poo is outrageous. Words fail me.

So I don't think it's bad cat food. Maybe it's a lack of fiber.

15. My cat loves seafood..
I get him kibble and the canned food. Mostly he will only eat shirmp, salmon, tuna or whatever other kinds of seafood in the can. I have his cat box in the bath room. I even have gotten the smell absorbing litter, but it doesn't help. I know EXACTLY when he has gone.. it reeks beyond belief!

21. It's a matter of proportion.
And if I had to strap to my nose either an open can of cat food or an open can of cat shit, I know how I'd choose.
