Lizards, please send a good thought to our dog, Peanut who is having
throat surgery tomorrow AM, removing a tumor from his thyroid that is pressing on his windpipe. We hope to have him back home Friday if all goes well. Our tiny 110 pound Doberman/Great Dane bed hog.

Thanks.

10. He is marked like a black and tan Dobie, but with a Dane-shaped square head
and that Dane goofiness. He is large for a Dobie, small for a Dane - down to 109 pounds from 115.
He thinks he controls the world.

I will try to post a pic if I can figure out how.

7. Good thoughts for Peanut!
My advice is try and stay calm so he won't know you're nervous and it will help him be calm.

Do all the pre-surgery blood work to make sure there are no issues with the anesthesia and surgery.

I know how stressful it is when your furbaby needs surgery.

I'll be thinking of you and Peanut.

Grew up with a Great Dane bordering our back yard. TERRIFIED us kids until
the owner came out one day and formally introduced us and we found out what
a big ol' fluffy cuddlebunny he was.
.
Could lick my whole face in one lick.
.
Got to be a triple-dog-dare who could stand there and let him lick your face
the longest.

21. get well soon peanut!
i've heard only good things abt similar surgery on large/medium size dogs so i'm hoping for the best, these tumors can be a PITA but the vets tend to know what they're doing

Removed one thyroid gland with large lump. We will bring him home Friday early afternoon.

Thanks for all your help and comments.
