1. What time should I be there?
:hi:

Just plan a nice meal around it, open it, pour into wine glasses and enjoy!

2. LOL! I'll let you know!
I guess I need to do a little research on what type of dinner I should be fixing. Thanks!

3. Grilled steak or a hearty pasta dish would work well.
California Cabernets are delicious! It will just get better with each pour of wine into your glass as the wine opens up.

4. A friend of mine had a similar experience. He's a graphic designer, works for
one of the big three networks. One of the bigwigs needed something done asap and my friend was the only one still around that day. So he did it and the big wig sent him a $350 bottle of wine. He wasn't sure what to do with it. He likes wine but wasn't sure he was expert enough to truly appreciate a bottle that expensive. He was thinking about selling it. I wonder if he did. I'll have to ask him.

6. First: Let it sit for at least a week,
since it had quite a ride. Then, after it, remove cork, have a nice glass handy, pour in from a distance (so it get's some oxygen, make it bubble a bit,) and cheers!

11. Listen to CMW
Fill the wine glass no more than half way and gently swirl the wine a few times before drinking and between sips.

Accompany it with a robust meal (grilled beef, pork or lamp, or if you're a vegetarian, grilled portobellos) and potatoes, or accompany it with a risotto. Grilled or broiled asparagus would be good too. Don't eat anything acidic in the meal -- no vinegar or lemon juice.

One final suggestion: if you have friends who love good wines, invite them to join you.

14. If you don't have a decanter,
that's the way to go. Open it a few hours before you enjoy it, and let it just sit on the kitchen counter. So it can get some air, which will improve the overall flavor of it. It's a pretty heavy wine, although not this heavy, but very rich in taste. :hi:

16. Hey, if it's cold enough,
anything is drinkable!

We're over there on Friday! Too bad I once drank a bottle of Chateau Margaux all alone a few years ago. That would have been really, really good stirred on ice! :hi:

8. Don't put it in the refrigerator - a cool spot like a basement is best - then enjoy.
I'd have that with spinach lasagna, a light portabello mushroom salad with grumbled gorgonzola (oil & vinegar dressing), and freshly baked bread.
