Here's a nice story.

I work with Shelby's dad,Barry. I'm glad she had her friend there with her. Anyway,here's the story.

Teen awarded for heroic efforts after friend hit by drunk driver in Colwood

Darin Kamsteeg was there for his friend when it mattered most.

He was steps behind Shelby Andruschak when she stepped into the crosswalk, and was by her side after she was struck by a pickup truck. He comforted those at the scene, including the 16-year-old drunk driver, and stayed until his friend was safe.
