Carrie's Mom Tribute Thread: Name the single CRAZIEST parental figure character in a movie.

I've gotta go with Carrie's mom...especially since I had an ex-girlfriend who had a mother JUST LIKE HER.

:scared:

Your choice?

2. The parents in A.I.
Talk about nuts. Their own kid goes comatose. Dad suggests that they get a replacement 8-year-old from the company he works for. It's just a prototype, but won't it fill the void from the other kid? Mom is freaked out at first, but eventually gets used to Robot Boy's presence. She finally decides to keep him, and activates its kid chip to bond with it.

Of course, real son comes out of his coma and they get rid of Robot Boy. But let's assume for a second real kid never wakes up, or finally just dies. What then? What anyway? Robot Boy is designed and programmed to be 8 years old. He'll always be 8 years old. Now, that might suffice for about, oh, let's say a year. But a year from now? He'll still be 8 years old. In fact, ten years from now, he'll be . . . yeah, you got it. Even 30 years from now, Robot Boy is going to be 8 years old. You're shuffling through the house, bark your knee on the coffee table, and you're hopping toward the medicine chest to get some ibuprofen. But here comes Robot Boy, with drawing number 3,492 in a never-ending series of 8 year old art called "Daddy and Me." Get out of my way, you little shit!

Robot Boy will never get older, will never hit puberty, graduate high school, grow up, get married or anything. And you know this going in. How crazy is that?

5. Eleanor Iselin, the mother in The Manchurian Candidate.
Her madness wasn't fiery and gaudy; it was cold, calculating and brutal.
