With recent stories of animals rescues in the news, Planet 100 decided to take a look back at the top five animal superhero stories of the decade. From a pot-bellied pig to a psychic beluga, the stories are all endearing, but couldn't be more different.

2. I posted an article here recently...

...which said that pigs might very well have dolphin-level intelligence. Which led on of my fellow DUers to reply "Then maybe we should stop eating them," and you know...they had a point there.

I stopped meat mostly for environmental reasons but I still cook it for my husband, except for pigs! I told him I wasn't cooking them anymore ever.

I'm hoping to someday live where I can keep one or two.. for the piggy lovin' :loveya:


The different animals helping people is just beautiful, I think. We have a lot more to understand about them all.
