To me this country western artist is new..but. Don Williams is great. |
|
Soft, kind, simple- gentle.
I discovered Don Williams a few months ago. My girl friend was playing one of his CDS while we working on a puzzel. I just listened and noticed some music soothing and just right.
Some of his tunes can be listened to over and over. So soft and beautiful. Had to share this.

On a cold, rainy day try Tennesee Ernie Ford.

3. T-Bone Burnett was interviewed on NPR this week, |
|
and he said that he wrote the songs for Jeff Bridges' character to sing in the new movie "Crazyheart" in a style most similar to Don Williams. :hi:

|
Both sang in the same style.

7. Met Don Williams at a Howard Johnson's in Redwood City |

Edited on Mon Jan-18-10 01:51 PM by Amerigo Vespucci
He came out from the back, wearing a cowboy hat, with two blonde women, each taller than him, one on each arm. A woman in a booth spotted him and said "I love your music Don" and he gave a little smile, reached up, tipped his hat, and said "Thank you, m'am" and kept walking.

9. Yeah, he was one of my favorites as a kid. The Gentle Giant. |
|
Soft, smooth voice with a lot of honesty in his voice. He is one of a kind.
I can't listen to him much anymore. I guess he sounds monotonous and dated--most older music does to me. But I have a lot of fond memories of his music. Enjoy him, he is one of the best country music produced in the 70s.
