Realization . . ..
My dog sleeps about 20 hours a day. She has her food prepared for her. She can eat whenever she wants, 24/7/365. Her meals are provided at no cost to her. She visits the Dr. once a year for her checkup, and again during the year if any medical needs arise. For this she pays nothing, and nothing is required of her. She lives in a nice neighborhood in a house that is much larger than she needs, but she is not required to do any upkeep.
If she makes a mess, someone else cleans it up. She has her choice of luxurious places to sleep. She receives these accommodations absolutely free. She is living like a Queen, and has absolutely no expenses whatsoever. All of her costs are picked up by others who go out and earn a living every day. I was just thinking about all this, and suddenly it hit me like a brick in the head, Good Grief, my dog is a republican!

"Prefer staying at home" reminds me of my aunt's tomcat - a Maine Coon - who had to be taken to the vet. Once in the car and well underway through town, he got out of his cage, jumped on my aunt's head and attached himself to her scalp via his claws. As she was driving, his tail was angrily swishing back and forth like windshield wipers in front of her face, practically blinding her. My aunt has been psychologically scarred since.
The sweetest cat, but dumb as a box of rocks. And that's me as a life-long cat lover talking. Can't remember how often we had to pluck him from trees.

Great story, though one I'm sure your aunt would rather not have happened.

9. My daughter used to have a boyfriend that neither my husband |

or I liked. Every time he came over, our dog would pee on his shoe. She has never done that to anyone else.
