Think I caught a Conservative posting with a multiple screen name somewhere on the net. Not here. Was on a non partisan political forum.
Sweet feeling. The punk disappeared shortly after I accused him of being a former member. He issued a heated, terse, and cocky denial followed by a hasty exit.
Ain't had so much fun in years.
Wiley licks his chops after eating the heart out of the Gazelle. Hey wait a minute? I'm a Coyote, not a Lion!

as a moderator here on DU, and my troll sensing software still works nicely. I've spotted quite a few the past few weeks.

Once upon a time I trolled an A-hole site called "The American Right". Warning: Don't go there unless you've got a really strong stomach. Such insensitive rude pigs.
But anyway I would pose as a Conservative making outrageous statements just to see what happened. Only one cat suspected me of being "too Liberal" because I didn't want to jail war protesters at tribunals or something. Can't remember the specifics. I found another "Coyote in sheepskin" (closeted Liberal on Con forum) like myself too. Not sure why either of us were there. Maybe he was researching a report or something. I was there for laughs and to screw with the animals.
If you ever want to screw with these people send me a P/M and will forward you my old screen name. Hope I can remember the password. But again these people are sick sick types you'd probably stay clear too. I hold some controversial views for a Liberal site which I usually keep to myself to maintain decorum. Get along to go along.
But these people over at A/R are really twisted. However there was one woman who, despite her vicious extremism treated me very nicely. I even wanted to call her my friend simply because she was polite and personable. They are humans after all. What an old softy I am.
But I've got better things to do. Only "joined" that cesspool for laughs. Once the initial novelty wore off I avoided that place. Been years since I done showed my face there.
Best,
W

3. I used to live on Usenet |

totally unmoderated, the wild west of the internets. I finally got tired of the same arguments over and over again. The gun nuts never came up with anything new, the theists never came up with anything new, it was always the same old crap.
Once, I got in a religious debate with some idiot. This has been over ten years ago, so I don't remember the details. Basically, he made a statement that I recognized as the beginnings of a standard argument for the existence of god. I just jumped four steps and made what appeared to be a completely non sequitur reply. He was confused, so I laid out what I should have replied, then how he would have replied to that, etc. He never responded.
My moment of glory, however, I didn't realize was anything special at first. Someone named Mary Rosh showed up on our newsgroup towards the beginning of a debate about John Lott's book "More Guns, Less Crime." She was all for the book. Claimed to be a grad student of Lott's. I kicked her ass, metaphorically, over the course of three or four days. One of the other regulars found out a couple of weeks later that Mary Rosh was a sock puppet created by John Lott himself. He was all over the Amazon review boards, and all over Usenet, defending his book.
Good times.
