2. I tried it with them when they were little, but it was too scary. But we do like films like
this and "Willow." I don't think they are ready for "LadyHawke" yet, though. Another fave of mine.

3. I watched LadyHawke just this past weekend...
I watched LadyHawke just this past weekend. Something about that movie entrances me every time I put it in the player-- and it's certainly NOT the Alan parson disco soundtrack... :P

6. I actually own the soundtrack on cassette. LOL I do wonder, though, what the movie would feel like
with a more traditional score.

4. Ladyhawke is a great movie.
The Dark Crystal is another good one, though that may be a bit scary for younger kids as well.

19. I spent several years of the late Eighties begging Jennifer Connelly in those words
night after night in my dreams...

Now I can love "Labyrinth" for the rest of it. But, man! I had it bad for her when I was a teenager!

David Bowie? Solid! Muppets? Love the Muppets! And choreographed by Gates McFadden of Star Trek: TNG. What's not to love?

7. My kids loved that movie when they were little, and so did I.
The combination of Jim Henson and David Bowie is really phenomenal. My "kids," these days, are 28, almost 27, and almost 22! They still remember it fondly.

15. Saw that one in the theater
That whole contact-juggling thing with the crystal blew my mind and set me on a dark path lasting several long years.

16. The boys kept complaining about the goofy special effects. "Mom! This CGI is just terrible!"

17. Rent the director's cut of Legend
A virgin princess singing to unicorns. Tom Cruise battling Tim Curry's Satan. Jerry Goldsmith's best score.

Bliss.

18. Why you hatin' Tangerine Dream?
And Ridley Scott lost his "director's cut" privileges after his umpteenth re-revision of Blade Runner.
