1. Just checking to see if anyone came in who knows something.
I am a re-constituted virgin at age 51. There.

6. Because as it is now I can't have sex. Its been a while but even my last
boyfriend who was not that big hurt. It got better after a while but since then I have had no desire whatsoever. Well lately I am starting to be interested again but the thought of going through all that pain again freaks me out. And he didn't want to put me on hormones.

4. As a matter of fact, I used to use products by that manufacturer
and I did get some relief.

But I switched to prescription Prometrium and estradiol.

I do still use these creams if I miss taking the pills for a day.

5. Most doctors will tell you that stuff is worthless
So the manufacturer matters little. Thats like asking if the company that sold you a sugar pill is reputable.

hormones and his wife uses them.

13. Wow ummm Dr. Phil IS NOT A MEDICAL doctor
in fact he's not even a real licensed psychologist! Would you take legal advice from Oprah? Because thats essentially what you are doing. YOu should NOT waste your money..and since they ARE NOT regulated by the FDA like scripts potentially dangerous.:banghead:

17. Well here's something for ya. My general practitioner told me I needed
surgery so I went to the gyno thinking I needed surgery. He said I did not have what the general doctor said and also said that I was fine!

Both are wrong!

14. This is not qualified medical advice....
um... and I really don't know that much about it. Women friends who have been through similar situations to yours tell me they had success with natural products. Soy, maybe? I'd certainly try something like that before hormones.

From the last reports, hormones sound like killers. My Aunt was on hormone replacement therapy and died of a massive stroke at 60. Not worth it.
