Favorite Indie Movie, Actor and Actress....
Living in Oblivion. It has it all, quirkyness, funny, weird story...

Steve Buscemi, Cause he can do it all.

Catherine Keener. She does everything great...

1. The Station Agent
I love that movie. Patricia Clarkson for favorite indie actress. I don't have a preference for actor. Buscemi is a good choice, though. I like Oliver Platt, too.

3. I think Fargo was an indie, therefore: Fargo.
Cate Blanchette because she can do it all. Densil Washington ditto.

6. Men With Guns, John Turturro, and Lili Taylor
Men With Guns because it's a moving (and visually beautiful) film and because when John Sayles was on the edge of Hollywood stardom after the success of Lone Star, he chose not to make a commercial film but rather to follow up with a film set in a foreign country and almost entirely in Spanish (drawing on several distinct dialects).

John Turturro because he's a great actor and because between his work in Spike Lee's films and early Coen Brothers films it's difficult to imagine the state of independent film without him.

Lili Taylor because she's an outstanding actress, has devoted a big chunk of her career to independent cinema, and has a certain je ne sais quoi.

9. I haven't seen many Indie movies
so I'll go with Ballast. I've got Frozen River on the list and I've read great reviews. Actors/actresses not sure.

a single favorite in any of the categories.
