Even though it's probably untrue (aka: a lie) about the mal-ware, you've effectively shown how people who "don't know enough" (and that includes me, in this instance) will stay away from something in order to "be safe".

5. I just paid someone to remove a mel ware that had me stumped

The guy who did it installed another mel ware program, and a different anti-virus that recognizes the last one I got, they both alerted me to another version infecting the link I clicked on. Could be a false alarm, I don't know and it is not worth it to me to find out. As per calling my a liar, think what you like.
