"Big Love" -- Hellzapoppin'! (some spoilers) |
|
Wow -- last night's episode really cemented the idea in my head that this season is going to rip the family apart. Bill's deathwish of a political "calling", Nicki's increasing self-wareness and unhappiness, Margene's success and third wife's feelings of being overlooked, Ben's love for Margene being reignited with that kiss (!!!!) -- just wow!
I really think Bill's attempts to legitimize their lifestyle is really sowing the seeds for the destruction of the entire family.

5. The whole casino adventure so went against -- |

their supposed religious values -- I think it is also doomed for them. I think Ben is ultimately going to rebuff Margene even though he has been in love with her for years -- he seems to really be most aligned with his father's religious choices and (I think) most likely to continue into polygamy.

2. The kiss between the son and Margene was sick! |

How long has she been a part of their family? How old is that kid again? How old is Margene supposed to be? I can't remember.

Margene is supposed to be in her early/mid 20s and Ben is college age. They are much, much closer in age (and other ways) to each other than she and Bill. None of her children are older than a toddler so she hasn't been with the family for too long. I didn't really see the kiss as "sick" -- she's really not his "Mom", only his father's wife -- not the first time something like that would have happened.

LOL I have to say the kiss was a little disturbing for me also ! LOL SOO did not see that coming! and I think Bill is a self centered pig! I LOVE Barb. I feel so bad for her that she has to put up with so much shit from him! I'm very curious to know where they will take this little sub-plot with the Indian girl that Barb hit with the car though.......something is up with that.

7. I'd like to slap the crap out of Bill |
|
But I have to say they have a very interesting line up of characters. I love that Harry Dean Stanton keeps popping up either as a corpse or a ghost. Mary Kay Place cracks me up.
