Yes, I am a fan of FarmVille. Yes, I am a progressive Democrat. Yes, I would love to find other DUers on Facebook who could use me as a neighbor.

And the crap, or I mean the pretend crap, like the flowers and whatnot. I have enough real crap, why the hell do I need any pretend crap?

Don't get me wrong, I don't care if you like this little game. I just don't want my inbox filled up with emails telling me you found some pretend animal on your pretend farm. :)

Some folks have threatened to unfriend me for the same reason - nothing personal, they just don't want all the FarmVille spam. So I'm trying to take it easy on such public notices, because they can be a nuisance if they get out of control.

Have you tried blocking the application itself? Visit the FarmVille page on FB and there should be an option that lets you do just that.

I joined because an acquaintance sent me an email asking me to. I didn't understand Farmville then and I don't understand it now. I had assumed there was a point to it. I know now that there isn't. I don't understand why people enjoy playing it.
