17. It's complicated.
I'm a Cowboys fan because I used to live in Dallas and they are the team I follow. I can't get Saints games out here, usually. But I grew up around New Orleans, so I've always cheered for the Saints. There just hasn't been much opportunity for that in the past, and they only play the Cowboys every few years. I've always said if they met in the playoffs, I'd cheer the Saints.

30. There's a football team called the Texans?
I live in Houston; I'm pretty sure I'd have heard about it if there were an actual football team with that name.

46. If by football team you mean a team that plays football, nah.
If by football team you mean a group of big men hired to model NFL apparel and gadgets with Houston-targeted marketing logos, then sort of.

They meet in this big stockyard auction arena across from where Astroworld was and do this vaudeville-comedy routine with actual NFL teams as kind of an infomercial for the merchandise. Kind of like the Harlem Globetrotters, without the actual talented players.

other east coast team.

9. I am so disconnected to football,
I don't even know what day it's being played, so it's likely I'll have other plans as well ;)

Shopping would be a good thing to do that day, since so many will be at home. If you eat out, though, choose a place that doesn't have a TV set, or your service will be exceptionally bad. I know this firsthand...

The Stupor Bowel. It's generally a letdown because the Conference Championships are usually better games. That, and the AFC usually wins.

Packers-Patriots, Titans-Rams, Rams-Patriots, Steelers-Seahawks, Steelers-Cards, Panthers-Patriots, lots of good games. The Bucs-Raiders and Ravens games were duds, and the Colts-Bears game was dull.

21. Sucka Bowl
The fans are the "suckas" paying too much for seats, beer, food, souvenirs, etc.

But then, I never cared for the game.

However, instead of completely ignoring it as I used to, I get together with a friend, make dinner, turn off the sound when the game is on, and turn it up for the commercials.

I had a job a couple years ago on a research project where I watched beer and liquor commercials, fast forwarding through the shows. Let me tell you, 4 hours of those commercials will turn your brain to mush!

But, just as they told me would happen, after a while you see all the subliminal stuff plain as day.

25. That's why I call it "The Stupor Bowl" ;)
It's basically another excuse to party like it's New Year's Eve again.

I became disillusioned with football after that famous Oilers/Steelers play that created the rule (or whatever) for refs to watch instant replays on tough calls. Nothing mattered in football after that play was called out of bounds.

24. "The Big Game"
Retailers and stuff that want to do Super Bowl promotions usually don't want to pay the NFL the astronomical fees to say the words "Super Bowl" so they just call it "The Big Game."

"Make sure you have plenty of snacks and beer for The Big Game."

"Buy a new car and be entered to win tickets to The Big Game."

"Get your new big screen TV in time for The Big Game."

etc.

Also happens around Final 4 time, World Series, etc.

I gave up on Super Bowls after a.) seeing the atrocious officiating in the Seattle-Pittsburgh Super Bowl, and b.) reading how the powers that be in the NFL front offices claimed that the game was officiated correctly and properly. Haven't watched a SB since, and I'll skip this one as well.
